Niseko, in the Ainu language, means ‘Nestled deep in the mountains, a steep cliff that wraps the riverbank’. It is the only town that is written in Katakana script, which made its uniqueness. The town is found in 1901 with the population of 4,654 (as of March 31, 2008), welcoming as many as 1.5 million tourists annually.

Niseko is in process of a fully developed resort area, where outdoor activities can be enjoyed, giving you a tranquil, calming and relaxing feeling. Plus, you will feel healthier as local food can be consumed due to the system of ‘Local production for local consumption’.
